Spanish engineering in the United States

In the field of engineering and civil works, private companies have continued the tradition of Spanish determination, perseverance and desire to broaden horizons in the United States. Many Spanish companies are now operating in the United States, implementing highly relevant projects. Companies such as Abertis, Dragados, OHL or Ferrovial have undertaken very significant projects in the transport sector: highways, the New York Subway and sea ports, among others. In the field of energy technology, Spain might well be considered an international power: Iberdrola, Acciona, ACS o Repsol have carried out projects for state-of-the-art solar energy plants, wind farms and gas distribution all over the country. As a result of their contribution to transforming American landscape and territory, these works bear witness to the technical expertise, capacity for innovation and competitiveness of Spanish companies, which have paved the way for a large number of Spanish professionals to work once again on the design of the United States, thus keeping Spanish influence in North America alive.
